Poor service

First fuel line set didn't even fit. I returned it, and had to wait another month for the correct set. I had apparently be sent to the back of the waiting list just like a new customer. I had to appeal to the company that I bought the set from (who uses inline tube as their vendor) to get any action at all. One of the most frustrating shopping experiences I have had. Second set not even close to fitting easily. I had to bend the heck out of it to make it fit. Best to learn to bend your own tubes, then you can make something yourself.

Inline Tube - Brake Lines Review from Shelbyville, Kentucky

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Be prepared to rebend the lines to fit. Bought a complete set of brakelines for 1999 Chevy 4x4. Sent them the VIN number so all lines should have been correct. First off, an 8 foot line came in a 4 foot box, bent completely over, so that had to be straightened. Customer service said they have shipped them this way for 25 years. Hopefully it doesn't give way. The first half of each line fit properly but the second half was bent upside down or backwards so that each one had to be rebent to fit properly. Hoping there are no leaks or other problems after they are all installed. If there are, I'll write another review.

Have not even purchased items from them at the Times I called but sales displayed an attitude of snobbish superiority that was enough to take my business elsewhere!

Quote: "Have not even purchased items from them at the Times I called but sales displayed an attitude of snobbish superiority that was enough to take my business elsewhere!"

I agree with this "attitude of snobbish superiority" statement 100%. But unlike the above I did purchase a product from Inline Tube.

It was ordered a week ago and as of yet has not been shipped. I did receive 1 email response to the 4 emails I sent. That one and only email reply explained that getting the product from the warehouse to shipping was problematic.

What? Called and talk to the Inline Tube Sales Manager today and got a "why are you bothering me with this" attitude.

Inline Tube - Blower Motor Resistor Review from Centralia, Illinois

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have placed several orders with Inline Tube over the years. My first order was a complete brake line set for my '68 Cutlass ten years ago. The lines fit very well, and I did not have any issues installing. This positive experience prompted me to use them again last year. I ordered a transmission cooling line set, and a fuel pump to carb line. Neither set fit without serious modification. The fuel line wasn't even close. This past week I ordered a blower resistor off eBay from Inline Tube. I should've known better, but I figured that since it was not a tubing component, the picture matched, and that it was listed as an exact fit for my car that I would be ok. Wrong! The part will fit, but the plug prongs are incorrect. I am currently attempting to return, but it looks like I will have to pay shipping again (if they respond which is also iffy). Inline Tube was once a reputable company. Given my recent negative experiences with them, and reading the numerous reviews in online message boards; I will not be doing business with Inline Tube anymore.

Incorrect fuel line for '69 Corvette

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered a set of fuel lines for a 1969 small block Corvette from Inline Tube. The tubing had an un-necessary "s" shaped bend as it passed over the frame above the right rear wheel. Every Corvette of that time period that I have seen, actually in person or in photos, has never had that bend. I sent pictures and talked to customer service 2 or 3 times but calls were not returned and nothing was done to correct it. I had a professional brake shop straighten the curves as best that they could without ruining it. Large 3/8" tubing is difficult to bend without a machine like they had. This company does not copy the right example. Or they think in most cases, one size fits all. Don't buy from them. Look for someone else.

Very poor issue with inline tube

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered a complete exhaust system from inline tube for a 1967gto h.o .was supposed to be 100% factory correct. when sys.arrived I noticed one head pipe left side was incorrect as it should be 3 inches shorter than the right side why Pontiac did this I don't know but they did .the mufflers were correct the left one was 3 inchs shorter than right. their muffler guy grabbed the right side pipe and bent it to conform to the left side but was 3 inches to long so I called them thanks when trouble began. I waited 30 min just to talk to someone and got chris told him problem and he said ill gat back to u. 2 days passed nothing so I called again waited 30 more min.was told he was not there but someone would get back to me well nothing again. I called again concourse waited again to get someone and finally got chris asked him why he didn't call me back he said he didn't talk to me I said are u kidding .so then I got a guy named chuck he told me to take pics of and send but I don't have computer at location and not sure how to do it so he told me to take left pipe back off car and measure it I told him why as both are same lenth and they sent me wrong one well I did as asked called back again waited 30 min and gave him measurements on the left side .he told me they went to there guy who did the pipe and the measurement was same as the one for right side so that proves he grabbed the right side pipe instead of left side.he said his muffler guy said no way he did that what the *** I guess he thought I was lying what did I have to gain so I told him 3 things they can do either send me correct pipe or send me right muffler as it was 3 inchs shorter would not be correct but I was willing to do that or I can go buy one from parts store locally for 35.00 and they could give me credit .he then said no wait go back and give me how many bends it has in it.hey chuck this is wrong one no matter how many time u have me take it of and on.i got so pissed I just told him to forget it. I have been restoring gtos for 35 years and was using them for a lot of parts .inline tube will lose a hella lot more than 35.00 with me .I will always use just stainless from now on.

They sent me the wrong item

i bought what i thought was GM A-Body quarter glass seals thru ebay them being the seller they sent me seals for a GM F-Body when i called them to fix the problem they said they said i had to deal with ebay they said they are not accountable. the listing clearly stated 68-72 gm a-body. their customer service guy was completely rude. now that i see the reviews thru ebay and this listing on how difficult it is to return or get your money back, or even getting the correct item from them i urge anybody who's looking for automotive items do your homework look around it might be well worth the extra time and effort.

Interesting.

I am about to order their disk brake conversion kit for my 69 bird.

Also, the hard lines to go with it.

I either read how happy people are or the opposite.

Inline Tube - Brake Lines Review from Genoa City, Wisconsin

Purchased entire brake line kit supposed to be oem 1969 hurst sc rambler. 90% of lines were not even close to fitting called and argued with them had to order straight lengths and bend myself flaring stainless steel lines very difficult but had to. Only line that fit well was the rear main line from brake light switch to proportioning valve. The two lines for front and rear that run across fire wall are supposed to match theres are over an inch off cant even fasten them together in original holes looks terrible. They tell me they are scanned from originals but find that hard to believe as i have to more cars with originals still in them. Very poor quality

Poorly shaped fuel and vapor return lines

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a 1973 Dodge challenger and ordered the preformed fuel and vapor return lines for this car. The problems started when I took them out of the box to straighten the necessary shipping bends. I expected that. I also expected the lines to fit properly; they did not. The lines don't fit properly and I took quite a bit of time bending and re-bending to get an acceptable factory look. After reading the reviews I chose not to deal w/ less than adequate and unprofessional customer support. I highly recommend customers look at another vendor for this or similar products.

Review in Equipment category from Troy, Michigan

Inline tube is the biggest joke of a company there is. Everything they sell is from Taiwan. They advertise made in America but none of it is. You know how they do that? They take the made in Taiwan stickers off of the product and put their labels on it. All of the inl parts and valves come from there also. Junk junk junk the valves all leak and they have the most poor customer service I have ever seen.

Customer service is horrible

I pick up flexible brake lines for my Chevelle at Car Craft they had the wrong fittings. I also ordered new front brake lines, the bends are not even close to being correct. Dealing with customer service is very unpleasant. I was put on hold for over a half hour and then hung up on after trying to get them to ship the correct product out. I even offered my credit card to get new ones...they said they can't ship until they get the old ones back. They had no concern my car is taking up space at someone elses house

Defective parts with no help for the customer

I ordered a hood tach and after it sat on the body shop self over their 90 days return mark, warranty was void. What car guy doesnt let new parts sit around while restoring his car. Service rep was a total *** about it. Buyer beware, this place is a joke! They didnt even try to make it right with me. I was send on a wild goose chase with their supplier companys, them trying to pass the buck. They hid behind their sister company on ebay to get out of taking care of problems like i had with them. Very sad that i had to type 100 words just post this experience with their company. Just another way they make it difficult on their consumer.

If you buy something on ebay you have to return it through ebay, not the vendor the ebay store bought their parts from you ***.

Made an order online, NOT all parts shipped. Invoice marked all shipped. MISSING 2 ITEMS.

THESE GUYS ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF. If your stuff is not wrong in the box the new thing they do, is not to include all your parts but mark as shipped.

I recently placed an order online so I didn't have to listen to their arrogant salesman. Found their new scam, don't send all the parts. I called immediately and talked to a salesperson who was apologetic but NEVER shipped my missing parts.

He said he would get them out right away. These guys are in the state I live in, but have just had enough and will be turning them in for credit card fraud.
